Learn the secrets to being a classic rock star with the Disney Rock Star Mickey from Fisher-Price. Jam out as Mickey kicks across the floor, bobs his head to new tunes, and drops into a Mickety-Split. As you learn move after move, you'll find yourself thinking: Now, that's one talented mouse!
One Talented Rock Star Mouse
Rock Star Mickey is no ordinary rock star. When you press his right foot, he'll give an energetic performance of the classic rock tune, "You Really Got Me," during which he'll kick out all his best moves. After he's done, press his right foot again to see a lively performance of his "M to the I Rock Star Remix." During both these performances, he captures the energy of true rock n' roll while putting in his own clever, mouse-style lyrics.
Press Mickey's Nose to Learn His Moves
During his performances, Mickey features four moves: The Head-Bop, the Kick-Step, the Mickety-Split, and playing guitar with his nose! These moves keep him dancing all over the floor. If you want to learn how to rock out like Mickey, all you have to do is push his nose and he'll show you himself.
Start a Rock Band with Your Skills, Too!
While Mickey teaches you about rock n' roll, you'll find that you develop your own skills, too. You and Mickey can start a rock band together when you have what it takes, and you can play the Rock Star Guitar (sold separately). Maybe then you'll show Mickey how it's really done!

While Mickey Mouse is a star to most kids already, so it is fitting that ROCK STAR MICKEY now takes the stage. Boasting a cool pair of shades and a wicked electric guitar, it only takes a press of his foot and pinch of his nose before he belts out a mousy version of the Kink's "You Really Got Me", complete with rock star "moves" (considering this doll does the splits, it may more akin to Van Halen's version).Great concept, but along with the positives, there are some downsides to ROCK STAR MICKEY: 1) He only plays two songs (and only one of those two really qualifies as "rock") and there is a fine line between being a cute novelty and an annoying, repetitive noisemaker. This is the most significant (and quite frankly, the only) major letdown for this toy. The technology is available to allow for more songs ... many more songs. 2) The volume is unchangeable and true to rock star form, he's loud ... ROCK STAR MICKEY will command aural attention from... Customer Video Review Length:: 3:17 MinsIn 2010 Fisher-Price Disney's Dance Star Mickey Dance Star Mickey was one of the "Must-Have Toys" of the Christmas season. Dance Star Mickey was fun, hip, and had a wide assortment of dance moves. In 2011 Fisher-Price has tried to recapture the magic with "Rock Star Mickey", and depending on child they may have another big hit on their fan. I do believe that Rock Star Mickey has a smaller audience than last year's model. For one, while most kids love to dance not all kids are big fans of the Rock Star theme. This is especially true for younger kids (specifically my 2 year old daughter). Our daughter enjoys Dance Star Mickey, although he is not one of her absolute favorites, but she is less excited about his rockin' cousin. Notes on Rock Star - He is a about 4 inches... We are huge Mickey fans and this toy is a huge hit. the way he dances around and plays his guitar, the kids think he is so cool. What fun for the family to watch and play with. Tons of fun, we can just sit and watch him for hours. This toy reminds me of the tickle me elmo we got for our son a few years ago. Not sure how long the interest will last, it might be one of those things that as soon as the newness wears off, it won't get played with for a while. I hope not though. Great for little ones, they seem to be ammused by Mickey. |
