He is now at that action figure / create my own playtime phase where each toy has a different role. He probably got to this phase earlier than some by watching Toy Story and playing with his uncle's older 1990s toys at Mom Mom's house. Anyway, let's talk about this toy. This playset isn't overly hard removing from the package. Scissors are not needed unless you find Cookie Monster difficult removing (he's encased in plastic). Two figures are included : Cookie and Elmo. A stationery Oscar is included (head pops out of the trash can). But the package claims this is for 18month-olds to 4 Year Olds.The set comes with 2 figurines that my son loves -- Elmo & Cookie Monster. The set LOOKS great. Colorful and solid. The plastic is high quality, which is probably the best thing I can say about this. The downside is that there's really nothing else to it. Even the box has trouble finding things to highlight. There's a "slide" feature that makes Oscar the Grouch pop out of his trash can. There's a wheel that spins on the grocery store. and it closes and opens. Big Bird's nest is just a square on the side of the building. You can put Elmo or C.Monster in it. Or not. There's also a balcony with the same option. Ask a 3 or 4 year old if this is fun and I suspect they will not answer in the positive. There are 2 doors. The plastic on these is not as strong-seeming; I suspect they will break before...
